Clearly, Mitt Romney can raise money for the GOP like no one else! He'd be a super VP! I sure hope Senator John McCain has the good sense to pick him as his running mate!
Can't donate 'cause McCain isn't a conservative and I only donate to conservative candidates. Obama quit his religion so he could be president, quite a contrast with Romney, eh?
And he has much more class than Huckabee... He did not call it Mitt*PAC like Huckabee did with his PAC (Huck*PAC). Shows the difference of what Mitt wants to focus on (the USA) and what Huckabee wants to focus on (Huckabee).
Mitt is beating Fred Thompson so far this week, not that I'm super thrilled about them going head-to-head so early...put Fred against Huck, knock him out! No, I really want to see Mitt against Huck next week, so yeah, everyone go there and vote for Mitt!
I too hope that McCain chooses Romney as his running mate. Don't think he will now, with all the FLDS nonsense. It could negatively detract from his campaign. My shock came this morning when my husband told me he was voting for Obama because he thinks we need a change. My husband and I have had extensive conversations regarding the problems a premature withdrawal from Iraq would cause, the overturn of Roe vs Wade, etc. We have always been in agreement. He has made this decision solely because of the economic difficulties we are facing. He is not thinking long term. If Romney was on the ticket my husband would be voting for McCain because he knows the strong economic background Romney has. I cannot help but feel this may be the same picture for other people..
We could use a PAC like this to get the GOP back to conservative principles, and I'm sure Gov Romney will do superbly in the effort. Its a great idea and I'm excited.
I'll echo the comments earlier, or actually perhaps add to them by saying the only thing that will get me out to vote for Sen McCain this year is if Mitt is on the ticket.
Funny how a lot of the most important issues facing our country have dropped out since Mitt's departure from the race... the economy, illegal immigration, family values. They're mentioned, but the focus isn't there anymore. I see this PAC as a positive development in bringing some of those issues back into public discussion.
