Clearly, Mitt Romney can raise money for the GOP like no one else! He'd be a super VP! I sure hope Senator John McCain has the good sense to pick him as his running mate!

interesting that he didnt name his PAC after himself, like some shameless self-promoters do...

Can't donate 'cause McCain isn't a conservative and I only donate to conservative candidates. Obama quit his religion so he could be president, quite a contrast with Romney, eh?

And he has much more class than Huckabee... He did not call it Mitt*PAC like Huckabee did with his PAC (Huck*PAC).
Shows the difference of what Mitt wants to focus on (the USA) and what Huckabee wants to focus on (Huckabee).

Vote for Mitt -- he's currently ahead of Huckabee:

Mitt is beating Fred Thompson so far this week, not that I'm super thrilled about them going head-to-head so early...put Fred against Huck, knock him out! No, I really want to see Mitt against Huck next week, so yeah, everyone go there and vote for Mitt!

I too hope that McCain chooses Romney as his running mate. Don't think he will now, with all the FLDS nonsense. It could negatively detract from his campaign. My shock came this morning when my husband told me he was voting for Obama because he thinks we need a change. My husband and I have had extensive conversations regarding the problems a premature withdrawal from Iraq would cause, the overturn of Roe vs Wade, etc. We have always been in agreement. He has made this decision solely because of the economic difficulties we are facing. He is not thinking long term. If Romney was on the ticket my husband would be voting for McCain because he knows the strong economic background Romney has. I cannot help but feel this may be the same picture for other people..

We could use a PAC like this to get the GOP back to conservative principles, and I'm sure Gov Romney will do superbly in the effort. Its a great idea and I'm excited.

I'll echo the comments earlier, or actually perhaps add to them by saying the only thing that will get me out to vote for Sen McCain this year is if Mitt is on the ticket.

Funny how a lot of the most important issues facing our country have dropped out since Mitt's departure from the race... the economy, illegal immigration, family values. They're mentioned, but the focus isn't there anymore. I see this PAC as a positive development in bringing some of those issues back into public discussion.

What do you think? Is he speaking from his heart or Is he pandering to the crowd? Hmmmmm?

This is CHURCH? I mean, I don't get out much, but it makes me wanna vomit. The drama, the hate, the insincerity. I thought TV was low grade.

Jeff, at NY for Mitt, just posted that Barack has left his church.

http://nyformitt.blogspot.com/

I'll never understand why it took Obama 20 years to figure out what most of the country learned in 2-3 months. These friends are not men of God. They are political instruments who hate more than they love.

I have seen quite a few articles about this Rev. Michael Pfleger for about a month now, but it was not until I saw this movie. I have no idea he was white! Wow! Because he claimed the blacks are better than him, rather than being his peers, he really does have some serious self-issues!

Governor Romney had this message for Memorial Day last year.

Boston, MA – Today, Governor Mitt Romney issued the following statement on Memorial Day:

“On this Memorial Day, we recommit ourselves to honoring the memory of all those brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country so that others may live in liberty. Their bravery is a legacy that no American should ever forget. While we honor those who have fallen for their country, our thoughts and prayers are with the men and women currently serving across the globe. They are Americans doing extraordinary things so that our country can be free. We are forever grateful to them.”

OK. Someone needs to create and post a Mitt Romney VP MITT METER. The suspense is killing me, and the general state of the Presidential race is depressing me! And then I read THIS:

the question is WHY??????????

By Anonymous Anonymous, at May 26, 2008 at 1:12 PM

Because San Diego is an absolute paradise. That's why. Though prices probably better if he waits a year. Not that he cares.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at May 26, 2008 at 5:29 PM

The answer is why not? If you got the bucks, its probably a good time to buy real estate + its cold in boston in the winter, lots of folks, well rich folks have a pad in a warm climate...flordia sure is an shorter flight though. As for any political connection, no way romney would run for office in CA...if your going down that road, look to al gore...he just bought a condo in san fran and maybe he should run for gov in 2010. As for romney, i'd guess if mccain wins, romney will be either veep, sec of tres or commerce...the latter two would mean another house purchase in DC for the romney clan. If mccain loses in 08, than romney will run in 2012 for the top spot. Yet, being out of office for 4 years might be a problem for him.

VERIFY!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at May 27, 2008 at 12:35 AM

La Jolla is a very nice area of southern CA. San Diego and Orange counties are also 2 of the more conservative counties in CA. If I were ever to move to that state, that is about the only area in southern CA I would want to live in, partly because it is also nice and cool there, being near the ocean, yet not nearly as much air pollution and congestion as the LA area.
Since Mitt has a son there, and since it's a nice area for Ann to ride horses year-round, it makes sense to me. It's probably also a good time to buy, with the housing slump more prounounced in CA than in some other states.

La Jolla may be my favorite urban place on earth. It's just that amazing. And a sunset down on La Jolla Cove overlooking Seal Beach... maybe after throwing frisbee in the park...perfect. Good for Mitt. And if I could only be so lucky one day...
