It's getting ugly in California over Proposition 8.

Here is a death threat letter (NSFW), issued on October 20th, 2008, to two of ten households in a California neighborhood where "Vote Yes on Prop 8" signs were being displayed. Their signs had been stolen by the time they found the letter.

The person who provided me a copy of this letter, who wishes to remain anonymous at this time for obvious reasons, is a head of one of two households to have received identically worded death threats, laced with profanity and insults. The recipient stated that, due to certain phrases and words used in the letter, the writer of the threat likely knows something about the religious background of the two households.

This is the second time that this family has had their signs stolen in only a few days. A police investigation is underway.

Gay couples can also love their non conventional families. The government isn't and shouldn't help them or encourage them to do so. If they want to start a family and have the means to do so, that's great. The government isn't going to and should never encourage it with marriage benefits. The benefits derived from marriage are supposed to help a man and a woman naturally raise and love a family. The government should encourage natural marriage with benefits. The government should discourage gay marriage cause it isn't natural. Not saying gays can't marry or spend a lifetime together. They just shouldn't get the same benefits as a natural relationship. It will be an effort to force clergy to perform their "marriage" ceremonies in the name of God. Certainly they will get the courts involved, and there seem to be plenty of judges willing and ready to restructure society whether it's against the will of the majority or not. It goes against the doctrine of our Church and they are not going to change it. This also eliminates any same-sex married couples from becoming members of our Church or going to our Temples. You can be homosexual in our Church, but you cannot be active in your homosexuality. The Bible is very clear on homosexuality. The homosexual activists are already attacking religions world wide. Many have fallen to their pressure. They will not give up until all do. I don't know what our Church will do if the courts ORDER them to accept same sex married couples. Iowa's favorite klown is back, with a post on the recent judicial activism overturning Iowa's Defense of Marriage Act. Highlights:

Romney was the first to respond. “The ruling in Iowa today is another example of an activist court and unelected judges trying to redefine marriage and disregard the will of the people as expressed through Iowa's Defense of Marriage Act. This once again highlights the need for a Federal Marriage Amendment to protect the traditional definition of marriage as between one man and one woman."

In addition to his statement Romney also helped organize a konference kall with Iowa legislators and pro-family leaders in Massachusetts last week. The purpose of the call was to share suggestions and insights as Iowa policymakers and pro-family organizations consider options in defense of marriage. Krusty Kudos to Romney for helping get our leaders up to speed on the issue.

Summary: Romney and Huckabee win, Rudy loses, and Fred is STILL not a candidate yet.
