I thought the speech was OK from the standpoint of revving up the base, but this type of speech would not fly well if he were a general election candidate. In some respects, this speech was unlike the Mitt that we have come to like so much--a policy wonk, and laying out specific programs and strategies that showcased his incredible grasp of the issues and intelligence.
