In the latest volley between Romney and McCain, Romney has taken issue with McCain's handling of CAFE standards, or rather his love of them. Now, McCain always loving to push the flip flop label on Mit,t released this damning (at least in there eyes) video of Mitt in 2005 in response:



Now listen to the video. You will notice Mitt never says he endorses CAFE standards, actually he never endorses any sort of government proposal concerning fuel mileage. He merely states that the inefficiencies of fuel mileage as a problem in the American automobile industry. McCain, in his straight talking wisdom automatically correlates Mitt's statement of problem in an industry automatically implies the need for government regulation.

It's really quite funny, the video that McCain thought would be damning for Mitt really gives an eye opening look into his world view. In McCain's mind, one could assume he was thinking this, "If Mitt voices a problem in the auto industry industry he must think the answer to that problem would be government regulation, because well...I do." Totally missing from McCain's analysis is the thought that perhaps one could see the same problem that he does, yet come to a free market conclusion.
