I first saw this at Evangelicals for Mitt. As Charles Mitchell points out, Huck isn’t willing to say he was wrong.
Simply apologize, Mike. You sound like Bill Clinton with all the weaving and bobbing.
As Mike claimed he made his “quarantine” comments at a time when nobody knew enough about HIV/AIDS, Chris Wallace interrupted him:
“Governor, forgive me. I don’t think that’s right… All the way back in 1985… Seven years before you made your statements, the Centers for Disease Control said that AIDS could not be spread by casual contact…”
Chris clearly pointed out that we knew plenty about HIV transmission seven years before his lunatic, way-out-of-line 1992 statements.
This should continue to rock Huckabee’s world. His denials are what will hurt him the worst.
Mitt apologized and admitted he was wrong on abortion. None of these other politicians seem to be capable of that.
