Governor Mitt Romney, former Republican presidential candidate, today announced he will campaign in two Idaho cities Oct. 1 in support of Jim Risch, candidate for U.S. Senate.
"Jim and I were governors together, and I have seen how hard he works for Idaho" Romney, honorary chairman of the Free and Strong America PAC, said in a press release.
"I look forward to returning to Idaho in support of my good friend. Jim and I stand together on many issues including the economy, lowering taxes and protecting family values. I am grateful for the support I have found in Idaho, and I know that there is not a better man than Jim Risch to serve in the U.S. Senate," Romney said.
Romney will appear at a 12:30 p.m. fundraising lunch in Boise, location to be determined. He will then travel to Idaho Falls to address a 5 p.m. roundtable of business leaders at Riverbend Ranch, followed by a rally that is free and open to the general public. link
