There seems to be a growing consensus that Mitt Romney is the conservative of choice for leaders of the religious right. I think that they are hesitant to come right out and endorse him, but it is clear enough after they have eliminated essentially every other choice.
Of course, I did that 10 months ago. I will now pat myself on the back repeatedly.
So basically, the religious right won’t support Rudy, and is okay with Romney, while the Log Cabin Republicans (who see the religious right as their last obstacle to promoting gay rights) denounce Romney, and favor Rudy. Interesting!
