Imagine getting a summer job with the campaign and getting 10% of the money that comes in! - Sounds CRAZY?! - Read onAs Governor Romney is always wont to say:
he wants to bring innovation to the government.
It looks like he's going to try his hand at campaign fundraising... again!
- First, there was the savvy legal maneuvering with Romney's Commonwealth PAC that upset some writers at the Wall Street Journal.
- Next the January 8th Fundraiser that brought in over $6.5 Million in 9 hours, from a single room of 400 friends and associates.
- Instead of using the typical political mold of fundraising tools, the Romney campaign instead opted to use a modified commercial hosted application SalesForce.com
- To incentivize fundraisers to get more visibility they created the Multi-level Marketing equivalent of "getting noticed". As a serious high-level fundraiser you can create your own "associated fundraisers" to increase donations and get credit for doing so
And now, we bring you innovation #323...
Students for Mitt. It goes something like this: If you are currently a student and want to earn from cash... spend your summer touting Mitt Romney instead of selling Pesticide. For everything to raise over $1000 you will get 10% back!
So if you raise $50,000 you get $5000 back. If you raise $100,000 you get $10,000 back! That's serious money for a college student and for a great cause!
